UNIBEN Courses And Requirements –Very soon, the UNIBEN Post UTME form will be released, and all interested candidates will be invited to apply. Candidates who are eligible to apply must have confirmed that the course they intend to pursue is available and that they meet the requirements set for that course.

UNIBEN Admission Requirements For Undergraduates

There are two methods you can use to gain admission to study at UNIBEN. You can use the UTME mode or you can use the direct entry mode. Whichever mode of entry you choose, you must ensure that you are well-qualified for your preferred program. Below are detailed requirements all candidates are to meet to be able to study at the University of Benin (UNIBEN).

UTME Requirements for UNIBEN 

To be considered for admission into the University of Benin (UNIBEN), candidates must meet certain requirements:-

  • JAMB First Choice: All candidates must select the University of Benin as their first choice of institution during their JAMB registration.
  • Change of Institution: If a candidate did not initially choose UNIBEN, they can apply for a change of institution through JAMB.
  • Cut-off Mark: A minimum JAMB score of 200 is required for admission. However, competitive courses such as Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, and others may require higher scores.
  • O’level Requirements: Candidates must have a minimum of five credit passes in relevant O’level subjects, including Mathematics and English. These credits should be obtained in two sittings or less. For highly competitive courses like Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, etc., all required subjects must be earned in a single sitting.
  • Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 16 years old at the time of applying for admission.

Direct Entry Requirements for UNIBEN 
Candidates applying for Direct Entry admission to the University of Benin (UNIBEN) must meet the following criteria:-

  • O’level Requirements: A minimum of five credit passes in relevant O’level subjects, including Mathematics and English, with no more than two sittings.
  • Advanced Qualifications: Candidates should possess an acceptable Higher National Diploma (HND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), or a relevant degree from a recognized institution.
  • JAMB Direct Entry Portal: Candidates must register and apply through JAMB’s Direct Entry portal.
