Entry Requirements For UNIBEN Direct Entry Program 2024/2025
To be eligible for the University of Benin Direct Entry screening for the 2024/2025 academic session, candidates must meet the following requirements:-
- The University of Benin must be selected as the first-choice institution during the application process. If UNIBEN is not your first choice, you may need to make the necessary changes through JAMB before applying for the screening.
- All applicants must have registered for the Direct Entry admission process through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
- Candidates must have at least five (5) credit passes in their O’Level results. This can be from SSCE, NECO, GCE, or any equivalent examination. These subjects must include English Language and Mathematics. The required O’Level results must be obtained in not more than two sittings. If you have results from more than two sittings, you may not be eligible for the screening.
- Since most of the communication and updates regarding the screening process will be sent via email, candidates must have an active and accessible email account. This will be used for receiving important notifications, screening dates, and other relevant information.

How to Apply for UNIBEN Direct Entry Screening Form 2024/2025
If you are applying for UNIBEN Direct Entry screening, follow these steps carefully to complete your registration successfully.
- Open your web browser and go to the University of Benin Student Portal login at www.uniben.edu. Look for the WAEUP Student Portal section and click on it to begin your registration.
- Click on “Register for Application” at the top left corner of the page.
- Enter your surname and JAMB Direct Entry Registration Number exactly as they appear on your JAMB registration slip.
- Once done, your Application ID and Password will be generated and displayed on the screen. Make sure you write them down or take a screenshot, as you will need them to log in later.
- Go back to the WAEUP KOFA Student Portal and enter your Application ID and Password to log in.
- Once inside, click on “Application Record” and fill in all the required information accurately.
- You will need to upload a recent passport photograph (1×1 size) with a red background in JPEG format. Make sure the photo is clear and properly formatted. If the image does not meet the required standard, your application could be rejected.
- Scroll down and click on “Add Online Payment Ticket”, then select “Pay via Remita” at the top left corner of the page.
- The application fee is N2,000, but there may be additional service charges. Follow the payment instructions carefully and keep a copy of your payment receipt for reference.
- Before submitting, go through all the details you entered and make sure everything is correct.
- Once you submit the form, you will not be able to make any changes, so double-check all information.
- Print out your Acknowledgment Slip and Screening Invitation Slip, as you will need them for the screening exercise.
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has scheduled the Direct Entry Screening Exercise for the 2024/2025 academic session to take place soon. The screening will be conducted using a Computer-Based Test (CBT) method at designated centers within the Ugbowo Campus.
