UNIBEN Cut-Off Mark For Admission 2025/2026
All prospective looking to study at the University of Benin are expected to write the 2025 JAMB Examinations and score a minimum of 200 to be eligible to purchase the post-UTME form. This mark is the minimum score you are expected to achieve, candidates for more competitive courses like medicine, law, pharmacy, etc are expected to score higher.
This is because the course is professional and there are limited admission slots to ensure that students enjoy high-quality education. UNIBEN Admission Requirements For Undergraduates 2025/2026
To study any undergraduate course at the University of Benin, you have to choose between the UTME or Direct Entry modes of entry. Candidates who choose the UTME mode of entry have to write JAMB and meet the cut-off marks alongside all other requirements for admission. Direct Entry candidates are candidates who have previously obtained degrees, or diplomas and would like to further their studies using these certificates.

UTME Requirements For UNIBEN Admission
- All candidates must select the University of Benin (UNIBEN) as their first choice of institution during JAMB registration.
- Candidates who did not initially choose UNIBEN but are interested in admission can apply for a change of institution through JAMB.
- Candidates are required to meet the minimum cut-off mark of at least 200. However, some competitive courses such as Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, and others may require higher scores.
- Candidates must possess a minimum of five credit passes in relevant O’level subjects, including Mathematics and English. These credits should be obtained in two sittings or less. For highly competitive courses such as Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, etc., all required credits must be earned in a single sitting.
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old at the time of applying for admission.
Direct Entry Requirements For UNIBEN Admission
Candidates applying for Direct Entry admission at the University of Benin (UNIBEN) must meet the following requirements:-
- A minimum of five credit passes in relevant O’level subjects, including Mathematics and English, with no more than two sittings.
- Candidates must have completed an acceptable Higher National Diploma (HND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), or a relevant degree from rea cognized ininstitutionFor most courses, candidates are required to possess advanced qualifications such as HND, NCE, IJMB, or A-level.
- Candidates must register and apply through JAMB’s Direct Entry portal.
