Not all courses are eligible. The scholarship focuses on areas related to the energy and engineering sector. Here are the fields accepted:

• Subsea Engineering

• Law (specifically Oil and Gas/Petroleum Law)

Categories of the Scholarship

There are two main categories under this program:-

• Local Scholarship
• Overseas Scholarship

You can apply for only the two categories, but you cannot apply to the same category twice.

Who Is Eligible For Nigerian Agip Exploration Postgraduate Scholarships 2025/2026

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:-

• You must be a Nigerian citizen.
• You must have graduated with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division (2:1) in your undergraduate studies from a recognized Nigerian university.
• You must have completed your NYSC (National Youth Service Corps).
• You must have gained admission into a one-year master’s program (either in Nigeria or overseas) in any of the approved fields.
• You must not be older than 28 years at the time of application.
• If you are applying for the overseas scholarship, you will need a valid international passport (at least one year valid at the time of application).

Required Documents For NAE Postgraduate Scholarship

When applying, you will be asked to upload several documents to confirm your eligibility. These include:-

• A recent passport photograph (450 × 450 pixels) with a white background, taken within the last six months
• A provisional admission letter for a postgraduate course (2025/2026 session) from a recognized university, either in Nigeria or abroad. This letter must be for the exact course you are applying for under this scholarship.
• Your First Degree Certificate
• Your NYSC Discharge Certificate
• A valid means of identification (National ID card, voter’s card, or driver’s license)
• For those applying for the overseas category: a valid international passport data page that will still be valid through.
• A birth certificate issued by a local government authority
• A completed and signed NAE Compliance Declaration Form

Important Tips:-

• Once you submit your application and the deadline passes, you won’t be able to edit or add anything.

For those applying for the Overseas category, you are also encouraged to apply for the Local Postgraduate Scholarship as a backup. Once you submit, you will get an email confirming that your application was successful.

Application Deadline

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The test will be conducted online using remote proctoring. This means you can take the test from the comfort of your home, as long as you have a good internet connection, a laptop, and a webcam.
