Meeting the UI cut-off mark is a crucial step in your admission journey. Here’s a breakdown of how to achieve that:

Aim High in JAMB

  • Strive for excellence: UI is highly competitive. Aim for a JAMB score significantly above the general cut-off mark of 200. The higher your score, the better your chances, especially for popular courses.
  • Focus on your strengths: Identify your strongest subjects and maximize your scores in those areas.
  • Practice, practice, practice: Utilize past JAMB questions and study materials to familiarize yourself with the exam format and improve your time management.

Prepare for UI’s Post-UTME

  • Understand the format: Research the UI Post-UTME format, including the number of questions, subjects covered, and time allotted.
  • Study relevant subjects: Focus on subjects related to your chosen course of study.
  • Practice past questions: Obtain past post-UTME questions and practice to get a feel for the exam style.
  • Develop strong reading habits: Read widely to improve your comprehension and vocabulary.

Choose Your Course Wisely

  • Consider your interests and abilities: Select a course that aligns with your passion and academic strengths.
  • Research cut-off trends: Look at previous years’ cut-off marks for your desired course to understand the level of competition.
  • Be realistic: If your JAMB score is not exceptionally high, consider less competitive courses where you have a better chance.
