Lagos State University Postgraduate Admission Requirements 2024/2025

1. General Requirements for All Programs

Applicants must have at least five (5) credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, from O’Level exams such as GCE, WASC, SSCE, NECO, or NABTEB.

2. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programs

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a recognized institution, with a minimum of Third Class.
Candidates with a Higher National Diploma (HND) at a Lower Credit level are also eligible to apply.
PGD programs typically last between 1 to 2 years, depending on the course and study mode.

3. Master’s Degree Programs

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with at least a Second Class Lower Division.
Some Master’s programs, like the MBA, may require relevant work experience or professional qualifications.
Master’s degrees generally take 1 to 2 years to complete if studying full-time, with part-time options available that may take longer.

4. Doctorate (Ph.D.) Programs

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field, with a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale or its equivalent.
