LASU Admission Requirements

Lagos State University (LASU) offers various admission pathways for undergraduate programs, each with specific requirements. Here’s an overview:

General Admission Requirements

O’Level Requirements:

A minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination):

Candidates must score a minimum of 195 marks in the 2024 UTME.

Choice of Institution:

LASU must be selected as the first-choice institution during UTME registration.

Admission Pathways

UTME (100 Level Entry):

Meet the general admission requirements.
Participate in LASU’s online admission screening exercise.

Direct Entry:

Possess relevant qualifications such as A-Level passes, OND, NCE, or JUPEB certificates.
Submit hard copies of credentials to the Admissions Office.

JUPEB Programme:

Candidates who completed LASU’s JUPEB programme and selected LASU as their first choice are eligible for admission into 200 Level.

Programme Options

Regular Programme:

Standard undergraduate programme without additional entrepreneurship training.
Tuition fee: ₦67,048.50 per session.

Regular with Entrepreneurship Training:

Includes comprehensive entrepreneurship training alongside academic studies.
Tuition fee: ₦150,000.00 per session.
Candidates must choose either the Regular or the Regular with Entrepreneurship option; switching between the two is not permitted.

Course-Specific Requirements

How to Apply for LASU Admission Form

Navigate to the LASU Admission Screening Portal.
Click on the appropriate link to initiate payment for the screening exercise.
Enter your UTME Registration Number and select “FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATE: SCREENING FEE” as the payment type.
Provide your email address and GSM number.
Follow the instructions to generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number.
Proceed to make a payment of ₦2,000.
After successful payment, return to the LASU Screening Portal to retrieve your screening PIN.
Log in to the LASU Admission Screening Portal using your UTME Registration Number and Surname.
Enter the screening PIN obtained earlier.
Fill in your details, UTME details, and O’Level results.
Upload scanned copies of your UTME result slip and O’Level result(s), each not more than 30KB in PDF format.
Review and submit the form.
After submission, print a copy of the Temporary Self-Screening Report.
Later, log in to print the Final Self-Screening Report.
