Requirements For Kwara State University Postgraduate Admission 2024/2025

Before you visit the KWASU Postgraduate Application Form Portal to apply for admission, take some time to read, understand, and verify that you meet the requirements for the program you want to apply for. The requirements are as follows:-

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

To be eligible for admission into the Postgraduate Diploma program, candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria:-

Candidates for this program are required to be graduates of Kwara State University or any other recognized university.
Candidates are required to hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Credit or its equivalent in relevant fields.
They are also required to possess other qualifications that are acceptable to the Board of the School of Postgraduate Studies and the University Senate.

Master’s Degree (Academic and Professional)

For admission into a Master’s program, candidates must meet these criteria:

Candidates must be graduates of Kwara State University or any recognized university with at least a Second Class Upper Division.
Candidates with a Second Class Lower Division may be considered, but they may need to undertake a qualifying examination.

M.Phil/Ph.D.

Candidates seeking admission into Pre-Ph.D. Degree Programmes are required to hold a Master’s Degree with a minimum Cumulative (Weighted) Average of 50 to 59.99%. They must also meet the university’s matriculation requirements.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

To be eligible for admission into the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree Programme, candidates must possess a Master’s Degree with a minimum Cumulative (Weighted) Average Score of 60%. Additionally, they are required to meet the university’s matriculation requirements.
