Borno State University Admission Requirements 2024/2025

There are two main modes of entry to study at Borno State University; Direct Entry and UTME. Candidates who apply through UTME are candidates who wrote JAMB and met the cut-off mark while direct-entry candidates are those who have a previous degree and want to use the degree to gain admission to study at Borno State University. UTME Admission Requirements

• Candidates must choose BOSU as their first choice institution and secure a minimum UTME score of 150. Check our preferred program to know the exact cut-off mark for admission as some departments require a higher cut-off mark.
• Applicants must have at least five relevant credits in O’ Level examinations, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Candidates should ensure they have the appropriate subject combinations in the 2024 UTME, aligned with their chosen course.

Direct Entry Admission Requirements:

• Like UTME candidates, Direct Entry applicants must possess at least five relevant credits in O’ Level exams, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Candidates must meet one of the following criteria A minimum of 9 points in the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), A lower credit in National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND), A Second Class Lower division in a degree program.
• Candidates must ensure they purchase Borno State University Direct Entry Form and apply for admission before the deadline.

All candidates must ensure that they upload their O’ Level results to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Failure to do so may hinder your admission process. If you are still waiting for the release of your O’level results, select ‘Awaiting Result’ and update the information once your results are available.
