UNIABUJA Admission Requirements For All Courses

As you may already know, the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) offers two main entry pathways for candidates seeking admission: the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) route and the Direct Entry (DE). All candidates must meet the specific requirements for the mode of entry they choose. Only those who satisfy these conditions will be considered for admission.

Admission Requirements for UTME (JAMB) Applicants

  1. Candidates must have at least five credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level. These credits should be in no more than two sittings.
  2.  It’s essential to choose the correct subject combination for your course in the UTME.
  3. Candidates must score at least 180 in the most recent JAMB UTME to be considered for admission.
  4. UNIABUJA must be your first choice of institution in the JAMB registration.
  5. Participation in the UNIABUJA Post UTME or Screening is mandatory (if applicable for the year).
  6. Candidates must be at least 16 years old by the time of admission.

Admission Requirements for Direct Entry (DE) Applicants

  1. As with UTME applicants, candidates must have at least five credits in the SSCE/GCE Ordinary Level, obtained in no more than two sittings.
  2. Direct Entry candidates need ‘A’ Level/IJMB passes in at least two subjects that are relevant to their chosen course of study.
  3. JUPEB/A’ Level passes in subjects related to the chosen course can also be considered.
  4. A merit pass in NCE, ND, or other relevant Advanced Level Certificates is required for Direct Entry.
