General Admission Requirements for OAU Postgraduate Programs

To qualify for admission into OAU’s postgraduate school, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD):

• A minimum of a third-class degree in a related field from a recognized institution.
• Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least lower credit in a relevant discipline.

Master’s Degree (M.Sc./M.A./MBA/MPA):

• A minimum of a second-class lower (2:2) bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Candidates with a third-class degree and a PGD in a related field may also be eligible.

Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.):

• A master’s degree in a related field with a minimum grade point of 60% (or a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale).
