Police Academy Admission Requirements

  • First, applicants must be Nigerian citizens between the ages of 17 and 22.
  • Male candidates must have a minimum height of 1.67 meters (5 feet 6 inches), while female candidates must be at least 1.62 meters (5 feet 4 inches) tall.
  • Additionally, male applicants aged 21 to 22 must have an expanded chest measurement of at least 86 cm (34 inches).
  • All candidates must choose POLAC as their first choice institution. Those who did not do this will be required to apply for a change of institution through JAMB.
  •  All candidates must be in good physical and mental health, free from any disabilities or deformities.
  • Educationally, applicants must have at least six (6) credit passes in their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), obtained in no more than two sittings. These credits must include English Language, Mathematics, and subjects relevant to their chosen course of study. The examination can be from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.

Candidates must successfully pass a written examination, an interview, and physical and psychological fitness tests.
