UTME Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old by the time of admission.
  • Applicants are required to achieve a minimum score of 160 in the UTME. However, higher scores may be needed depending on the department and course of study.
  • Applicants must obtain at least five (5) credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
  • UNN must be selected as the first choice of institution in the UTME registration.
  • After the UTME, applicants must participate in the UNN Post-UTME screening exercise.

Direct Entry Admission Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a minimum of two (2) A-Level passes in relevant subjects.
  • Alternatively, those with an OND, HND, NCE, or equivalent qualifications in related fields may also be considered.
  • Like UTME applicants, Direct Entry candidates must obtain at least five (5) credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
  • Applicants must provide academic transcripts for ND, HND, or NCE qualifications, which must be sent directly to the university.
  • Candidates must complete the JAMB Direct Entry form.

Applicants need to meet all admission requirements, as failure to do so can disqualify them from the selection process. Only those who meet the criteria will be eligible to proceed to the next step of the admission process, including the screening exercise.
