Every year, thousands of young Nigerians embark on a life-changing journey through the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), where they learn, grow, and contribute to the nation. One of the key elements that unites all Corps members across the country is the NYSC Anthem; a song filled with pride, purpose, and patriotism.

Many corp members only know more than the first stanza of the NYSC Anthem; even this writer is guilty of it. But not knowing how to sing past the first stanza can be a bit embarrassing.

Picture this: you are standing with fellow Corps members at the assembly ground, and the NYSC Anthem begins to play. Everyone around you is singing along, but you find yourself mumbling or awkwardly chewing your mouth because you can’t remember the lyrics. We have all been there!

The NYSC Anthem Lyrics are easy to learn, you just need to make an effort.  So, before you find yourself chewing your mouth while the anthem is playing, it’s time to get familiar with the anthem and sing with pride.

Documents Required For The NYSC Camp

Learning the lyrics of the NYSC Anthem is not the only thing you need to do before you head to the orientation CAMP, here are some tips on the items you need to get before arriving at the CAMP.

• Call-up letter
• Duly signed green card
• School identity card
• Statement of result
• Passport photographs (6–8 copies)
• Certificates and licenses (original and three copies for medical doctors and other medical students)
•  Medical report (For candidates who have serious health issues and need consideration)
