Eligibility Criteria for JAMB Direct Entry

To be eligible for DE registration, candidates must meet specific academic qualifications:-

  • O’Level Requirements: A minimum of five (5) credit passes in SSCE subjects (WASSCE, NECO, or GCE) at no more than two sittings. At least two of these credits must be in subjects relevant to the intended course of study at the Advanced level.​
  • Advanced Level Qualifications: Two passes in subjects relevant to the chosen course, obtained at A-Level examinations such as IJMB, Cambridge, JUPEB, or Institute of Baccalaureate, alongside three other credit passes in SSCE.​
  • NCE Requirements: Credit passes in two major subjects from the National Certificate in Education (NCE), plus three other credit passes in SSCE, NTC/NBC. This is primarily applicable to Education and Technical programs.​
  • Diploma and Degree Qualifications: Candidates with University/National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID), or Higher National Diploma (HND), provided they meet the appropriate O’Level requirements.​

Note: All submitted Advanced Level qualifications are subject to verification. Any fraudulent results will lead to prosecution.​

JAMB accepts the following qualifications for DE registration:

  • University Degree​
  • University Diploma/NFLD/NALD​
  • ND/NID​
  • HND​
  • NCE​
  • A-Level Certificates (IJMB, JUPEB, NABTEB-ANBC, NABTEB-ANTC, NABTEB-GCE A-Level from 2015–2021)​
  • Foreign First Degree​
  • Cambridge A-Level​
  • International GCE A-Level​
  • International Baccalaureate (foreign certificates only)​

Application Process for JAMB Direct Entry 2025

To apply for the 2025 JAMB Direct Entry, follow these steps:-

  • Visit the JAMB e-facility portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/ to create a profile using a valid email address and phone number.
  • Purchase the JAMB Direct Entry e-PIN for ₦5,700 at designated banks, JAMB offices, or accredited CBT centers.
  • Log in to your JAMB profile, select the Direct Entry option, and fill out the registration form with accurate personal and academic details.​
  •  Scan and upload necessary documents, including O’Level and A’Level results, ND/NCE/HND transcripts, birth certificate/age declaration, and a recent passport photograph.​
  • Ensure all information is correct, then submit the form.​
  • After submission, print the registration slip, which contains details of your application and the CBT center for your examination.​
