FUWUKARI Postgraduate Program Studentship Reactivation and Extension Policy

In a recent decision by the Academic Board of the Federal University Wukari (FUWUKARI), significant updates have been made regarding the studentship status for postgraduate students who have exceeded the prescribed duration for their programs. The new policy applies to both Master’s and PhD students in various disciplines, and it aims to ensure timely completion of academic programs.

Master’s Degree Students

• For students who have been enrolled in the Master’s program for 36 months or more, they will be granted a 6-month extension to complete their program.

PhD Full-Time Students

• Students in the PhD full-time program who have spent 48 months or more will be allowed a 6-month extension to complete their research and other academic requirements.

PhD Part-Time Students

• PhD part-time students who have spent 60 months or more will also receive a 6-month extension to finalize their program.

Once the 6-month extension has been granted, students must complete their programs within this period. If the program is not completed within the extension timeframe, students’ studentships will be terminated, and there will be no further option for reactivation.
