Federal Polytechnic Ede Admission Requirements

The Federal Polytechnic Ede offers two distinct programs which are the ND and HND programs. These programs have two different admission requirements, so check the requirements you need to meet according to the program you are applying for.

ND (National Diploma) Admission Requirements

• Candidates must have at least five (5) O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two (2) sittings.
• Candidates must participate in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination and choose Federal Polytechnic Ede as their first choice. Candidates who did not choose this polytechnic as their first choice can apply for a change of institution from JAMB.
• Candidates must have a minimum JAMB UTME score of 120.
• Some departments may require additional specific subject combinations relevant to the course of study.

HND (Higher National Diploma) Admission Requirements

If you want to further your studies, these are the requirements you must meet to be eligible.

• Candidates must possess a relevant ND certificate from a recognized institution in a related field of study.
• A minimum of lower credit in ND is usually required for admission into HND programs.
• Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
• Candidates must undergo Industrial Training (IT) for a year and also provide proof.
