UNN Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025

This is to inform all those who are interested in the PGD, Masters, or Ph.D programs offered by the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) that admission is now available online. UNN offers quite several PG courses across all faculties and disciplines, you are advised to hurry to the PG admission portal and apply for a chance to study the PG course of your choice.

The UNN Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025 is ideal for individuals who have already obtained their first degrees but want to advance their educational qualifications. If this describes you, check the list of the PG courses offered by UNN and the requirements, and apply for admission after confirming that you are qualified.

The UNN Postgraduate Admission Form is now available online for a fee of Twenty-Six Thousand, Seven Hundred Naira (N26,700). Please note that this amount is for the application form only and does not include transaction charges. Who Is Eligible For UNN PG Admission 2024/2025?

Before you proceed to apply for the admission form, you must ensure that you meet the requirements provided for the program you are going for. See comprehensive details below:-

Candidates must possess five (5) credit passes, including English Language, in WASC, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB, obtained in no more than two sittings.
They must fulfill the minimum admission requirements for both the first degree and postgraduate studies in their chosen field of interest.
They must be graduates of the University of Nigeria or other recognized institutions with the qualifications specified above.
Candidates must present a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate, exemption, or exclusion letter, as applicable.

Program-Specific PG Requirements For UNN PG Admission 2024/2025

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programs

Graduates from UNN or other recognized universities.
Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least an Upper Credit in relevant fields.
Possess five O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings.
For PGD programs in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Architecture, only candidates with relevant university degrees are eligible.

Master’s Degree Programs

Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines from UNN or other recognized universities, with at least a Second Class Honours and a minimum GPA of 2.50.
Relevant PGD from UNN or other recognized universities, with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
First degrees with an average score of 50% or above.

Doctoral (Ph.D.) Programs

Master’s degree in relevant fields from UNN or other recognized universities, with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale or its equivalent.
Evidence of completed academic research is advantageous.

How To Apply For UNN Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025

If you have checked and confirmed that you meet both the general and program-specific requirements for admission, check for instructions on how to apply below:-

Navigate to the UNN Portal at unnportal.unn.edu.ng.
Select the “Postgraduate Students” section.
Choose “PG Applications” to generate an invoice.
Enter your telephone number and complete the required details.
An invoice with a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number will be generated.
Use the RRR number to make the payment online or at any bank via the Remita platform.
After payment, return to the UNN Portal.
Access the postgraduate application section.
Fill out the online application form accurately.
Upload all necessary credentials in JPEG format.
Supply valid email addresses for your referees.
Referees will receive a link to complete and submit the report form online.
Download the transcript request form from the portal.
Submit it to your previous university/institution.
Request that your academic transcripts be sent directly to:
The Secretary, College of Postgraduate Studies, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Ensure transcripts arrive no later than August 1, 2025. Applications without received transcripts by this date will not be processed.
Carefully review all entered information and uploaded documents.
Ensure accuracy and completeness and proceed to submit the application form online.

Ensure you complete all these before the deadline for application. Applicants who are unable to complete the application process befor ethe deadline will not be admitted.
