UNIMAID Postgraduate Form

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has officially released its Postgraduate Admission Form for the 2024/2025 academic session. Interested candidates can now apply for admission into Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s, and Ph.D. programs.

Before applying for UNIMAID Postgraduate Form 2024, all candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements for their chosen program. The admission criteria vary depending on whether you are applying for a PGD, Master’s, or Ph.D. program, so it is important to check the requirements carefully.

The UNIMAID PG application form costs Fifteen Thousand Naira (₦15,000), and payment should be made through UNIMAID Microfinance Bank before obtaining the form from the School of Postgraduate Studies.

UNIMAID Postgraduate Admission Requirements

To be eligible for postgraduate admission, applicants must have at least five O’ Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics. In addition to this, candidates must meet the specific requirements for their chosen program.

Ph.D. Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must hold a Master’s degree (M.A, M.Ed., M.Sc., M.Eng., or LL.M) in a relevant field.
  • A minimum CGPA of 4.00 on a 5.00 scale or 60% (B Average) is required from the University of Maiduguri or any other recognized university.
  • All Ph.D. programs are coursework-based.

Master’s Degree Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission into M.A., M.Ed., M.Sc. (Ed), MLS, M.Sc., M.Eng., and LL.M. programs, candidates must meet one of the following conditions:

  • Hold a First Class, Second Class Upper, or Second Class Lower degree from the University of Maiduguri or any other accredited university.
  • Applicants with a Third Class degree must also possess a relevant Postgraduate Diploma from the University of Maiduguri or another recognized institution.

For admission into programs such as MBA, MHPM, MPA, MPBD, MHRS, and MASS, applicants must meet one of these criteria:

  • Have at least a Second-Class degree in fields like Accounting, Business Administration, Management, Sociology and Anthropology, History, or Economics from the University of Maiduguri or any other recognized university.
  • Candidates with a Third Class degree or HND (minimum of Lower Credit) must also obtain a relevant Postgraduate Diploma with at least a Merit grade.

Postgraduate Diploma Admission Requirements

Applicants seeking admission into PGDM, PGDE, PGDNSS, and PGDA programs must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Hold a degree in a relevant field from the University of Maiduguri or any other recognized university.
  • Possess an HND with at least a Lower Credit classification from an accredited institution.
