UNIDEL Admission Requirements

UTME (Post‑UTME) Entry Requirements

JAMB UTME Score

  • General minimum: 140+ for most courses

Competitive programs require higher scores:

  • Architecture, Law, Software Engineering: 180+
  • Computer Science: 160+

Change of Institution

  • You must have either chosen UNIDEL as your 1st choice in JAMB or have successfully switched your choice to UNIDEL before applying.

O’Level Subjects

  • At least 5 credits (WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB) including English and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings.

Post‑UTME Screening Window

  • Typically held in mid‑August, with registration opening in late July; e.g., for 2024/2025, from July 24 to August 9, with screening from August 14–16.

Direct Entry Requirements

JAMB Advanced Level or university-level qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) A‑Level passes in relevant subjects, or
  • ND/HND/NCE with at least Lower Credit or Merit in relevant fields.

O’Level Credit Passes: Same 5-credit requirement, including English and Maths.

How to Apply for UNIDEL Admission

UTME Candidates:

  • Visit the UNIDEL admissions portal at unidel.waeup.org.
  • Click “Register for application”.
  • Enter surname (as in JAMB), JAMB reg. number, and email to receive login credentials
  • Confirm credentials via email link, then log in.
  • Complete your profile under “Edit application record” and upload required documents (O’Level, JAMB, passport photo, etc.).
  • Generate an online payment ticket, then pay the ₦2,000 screening fee via Interswitch (Verve/Master/Visa).
  • Print your completed form/slip and await the Post‑UTME screening schedule (typically August).

Direct Entry Candidates:

  • Access the UNIDEL admissions portal and select the Direct Entry form
  • Create a profile with email & phone, then make a payment (ATM card or bank transfer).
  • Upload scanned credentials and define biodata.
  • Preview, submit form, then print confirmation.
