Rufus Giwa Polytechnic ND and HND Requirements

This section provides details on the necessary qualifications for both the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programs at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic.
ND Admission Requirements
- Candidates must have at least five (5) O’Level credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
- Candidates must have written the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored at least 110 which is the official cut-off mark set by the Polytechnic.
- Applicants must select Rufus Giwa Polytechnic as their first or second choice or apply for a change of institution through JAMB.
- Participation in the post-UTME screening organized by the Polytechnic is mandatory.
HND Admission Requirements
- Candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) certificate in a relevant field from Rufus Giwa Polytechnic or any accredited institution.
- Applicants must have at least one year of industrial training experience (IT) after obtaining their ND. However, candidates with a pass in ND must have at least two years of industrial training experience.
- Candidates must provide academic transcripts from their previous institutions (if not from Rufus Giwa Polytechnic).
- At least five (5) O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- Applicants may be required to sit for an entrance examination or interview, depending on the chosen program.
