FUPRE Postgraduate Admission Requirements 

All those who want to study at the PG level at FUPRE must meet the general requirements and the program-specific requirements outlined below to be eligible for admission.

General Admission Requirements

  • Possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, at the WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB O’ Level.
  • Hold a valid NYSC Discharge, Exemption, or Exclusion Certificate.
  • Request and ensure that their academic transcript is sent directly to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, within six (6) weeks from the date of this publication.
  • Complete and submit referee forms, which must be forwarded to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies before the application deadline.
  • Provide a functional email address and phone number during the application process.
  • Upload relevant supporting documents, including:
  • University Degree Certificate
  • NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
  • O’ Level Results

Program-Specific Admission Requirements

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programs

  • Candidates must hold a minimum of a Third Class (Hons) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or an Upper Credit at the Higher National Diploma (HND) level.
  • For some programs, applicants with Lower Credit at the HND level may be considered if they have at least five (5) years of relevant post-qualification experience.

2. Master’s Degree (M.Sc. / M.Eng.) Programs

  • Applicants must possess a minimum of a Second Class Lower Division Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.

3. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programs

  • Candidates must have obtained a Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline.
  • They must have a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.0 scale or a weighted average score of 60% in their Master’s program.

Note that meeting these requirements indicates that you are eligible for the program you want to apply for so it is important that yo make sure of it.
