Federal Polytechnic Idah Admission Requirements For All Courses
If you have found any course you want to apply for, you have the option of studying it full-time or part-time. Regrdless of themode of study yu choose, you must meet the requirements for admission and the requirements are as follows:-
ND Full-Time Admission Requirements
- Candidates must choose Federal Polytechnic Idah as their first or second choice institution. Those who did not but ant to apply for admission must be willing to apply for a change of institution through JAMB.
- Candidates must have at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO,
- Candidates must have written JAMB and obtained the required cut-off mark set by the institution.
- Candidates must participate in the Federal Polytechnic Idah Post-UTME screening exercise and meet the required score.
ND Part-Time Admission Requirements
- Candidates must have at least five (5) credit passes, including Mathematics and English Language, in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
- Candidates applying for Part-Time ND do not need to sit for JAMB UTME, but they must have written JAMB to obtain a JAMB registration number.
- Candidates must participate in the screening process conducted by the Polytechnic.
HND Full-Time Admission Requirements
- Applicants must have a National Diploma (ND) with at least a Lower Credit in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Candidates must have one year of Industrial Training (IT) after obtaining their ND. However, those with a Pass in ND must have at least two years of IT experience.
- Candidates must have five (5) credit passes, including Mathematics and English Language, in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.
- Candidates from other institutions must request their ND academic transcript to be sent to Federal Polytechnic Idah.
- Candidates must participate in the Polytechnic’s HND screening exercise.
HND Part-Time Admission Requirements
- Candidates must have a National Diploma (ND) with at least a Lower Credit in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Candidates must have completed at least one year of Industrial Training (IT) if they had a Lower Credit in ND. Those with a Pass grade in ND must have at least two years of IT experience.
- Candidates must have five (5) credit passes, including Mathematics and English Language, in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.
