Al-Istiqama University Admission Requirements (UTME & Direct Entry) 2024/2025

Admission into the university is available through two routes: UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) and Direct Entry (DE). UTME Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking admission into Al-Istiqama University through UTME must fulfill the following conditions:-

Candidates must score a minimum of 140 in the JAMB UTME examination. However, some courses, especially in the Faculty of Basic Health Sciences, may require higher scores.
Al-Istiqama University must be selected as the first choice institution during UTME registration. Candidates who did not initially select AUSU as their first choice can change their institution through JAMB’s Change of Institution process.
Candidates must have at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent examinations. The remaining three (3) subjects must be relevant to the chosen course of study.
Candidates must have written the appropriate UTME subjects required for their intended course. Those with incorrect subject combinations may be considered for alternative programs.
Candidates awaiting their NECO 2024 results may apply, but they must ensure that their results are uploaded to JAMB CAPS and the university portal before the deadline.

Direct Entry (DE) Admission Requirements

Candidates applying through Direct Entry (DE) must meet the following conditions.

Applicants must possess any of the following:-

A National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized institution with a minimum of Lower Credit.
An NCE (Nigeria Certificate in Education) with at least a Merit Pass.
A GCE Advanced Level (A-Level) results with at least two passes in relevant subjects.
Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the university.
Direct Entry candidates must also have at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings.
Candidates must have registered for JAMB Direct Entry and chosen Al-Istiqama University as their first choice institution.
