NCEE Examination Timetable 2025 [Updated]

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has just released the official timetable for the 2025 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE). The exam is set to be held on Saturday, 14th June 2025, and every candidate, parent, and guardian should take careful note of the schedule and make sure they follow it to the letter.
The NCEE common entrance examination is for pupils moving into Junior Secondary School 1 (JSS1) at Federal Unity Colleges in Nigeria. These Unity Colleges are a network of federal government schools spread across the country, celebrated for their high academic standards and diverse student body.

NCEE Common Entrance Examination Day Rules & Structure
To ensure everything runs smoothly on the day of the NCEE, here is a clear explanation of what to expect and the rules to follow:-
Arrival & Registration (Before 7:30 am)
Every candidate must be at the examination centre before 7:30 am. During this time:
- Attendance is taken, and candidates are marked present.
- Hands and materials are sanitized for safety.
- Customized OMR (answer) sheets are issued.
Exam Papers & Subject Breakdown
The NCEE is split into two main papers, both in multiple‑choice format:-
Paper I (9:50 am–12:00 pm)
- Mathematics
- Basic Science & Technology
- English Studies
- National Values Education
Paper II (1:15 pm–2:35 pm)
- Quantitative & Vocational Aptitude
- Verbal Aptitude
Note: Exact start times may vary by centre, always follow the time printed on your question paper.
Mid‑Exam Break (12:00 pm–12:55 pm)
After Paper I, there is a 55‑minute break. Use this time to:-
- Stretch your legs and refresh yourself.
- Check that you still have your OMR sheet and exam slip.

What NOT to Bring To The Examination Hall
Electronic devices are strictly prohibited. These include:-
- Phones
- Tablets
- Smartwatches
- Calculators with advanced functions
- Glasses or pens with digital features
Only simple calculators are allowed.
What Candidates Should Bring
- Pencil (HB is best)
- Eraser and sharpener
- Simple calculator (not scientific)
- Photocard or exam slip
- Snacks and water (optional, for the break)
Special Candidates (Albino & Blind)
- Albino and blind candidates will be given an extra 30 minutes at the end of each paper.
- Blind candidates must use the NECO-supplied customized braille OBR sheets for writing the exam.
