Covenant University Postgraduate Admission Requirements 2024/2025

The Covenant University School Postgraduate Studies has provided a list of requirements to be met for the 2024/2025 admission year. If you are interested in admission, please follow the instructions provided here and apply.

Interested candidates must complete the application form on the University portal and submit all required documents as outlined on the form.
For Nigerian citizens, a valid National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge, exemption, or exclusion certificate must also be provided.
Candidates must ensure that their institution(s) process and send official academic transcripts directly to the Secretary of the School of Postgraduate Studies. Only candidates whose transcripts have been received will be considered for admission.

Program-specific Requirements For Covenant University Postgraduate Studies

These are the requirements you need to meet to be able to study any of the programs offered at the postgraduate level.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Candidates applying for the MBA program must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least a second-class lower division from Covenant University or any other recognized university.

Masters Degree Programme

Candidates applying for the Master’s degree program at Covenant University must hold a Bachelor’s degree from Covenant University or any other recognized university with a First Class or Second Class (Upper Division).
Those with a Second Class (Lower Division) and a minimum CGPA of 3.00, along with a postgraduate diploma with a CGPA of at least 3.50 are also eligible.

Ph.D. Degree Programme

Candidates seeking admission into the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree program at Covenant University must hold both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Covenant University or any other recognized university.
To qualify for direct entry into the Ph.D. program, candidates must have a minimum CGPA of 4.00 on a 5.00 scale or its equivalent (60%).
Candidates with a CGPA between 3.50–3.99 on a 5.00 scale (55–59%) in their Master’s degree may be considered for the M.Phil/Ph.D. program.
Students admitted into the M.Phil/Ph.D. program who do not meet the required CGPA of 4.00 upon completing coursework will be awarded an M.Phil degree after successful defense of a Dissertation. The M.Phil/Ph.D. program prepares candidates for a Ph.D. degree.
Candidates with professional Master’s degrees are not eligible for the Ph.D. program unless they possess an M.Sc/M.A./M.Eng degree in relevant fields.

How To Apply For Covenant University Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025

These are the steps you can follow to apply for Covenant University Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025:-

Visit the Covenant University School of Postgraduate Studies website at https://spsadmportal.covenantuniversity.edu.ng/.
Click on the 2024/2025 postgraduate admissions link.
Create a personal account to begin your admission process.
After creating your account, log in and complete the online application form.
Once the form is completed, click the submit button. A payment page will be displayed.
The application form costs N15,000.00 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) with an additional transaction charge of N600.00 for bank payments or N900.00 for online payments.
Payment can be made to Covenant University Microfinance Bank, Ecobank, or GTBank.
After a successful payment, upload your passport. Your application number will then be displayed.
Copy or print your application number, as it will be needed for further steps in the admission process.
