UNIJOS Admission Requirements for UTME and Direct Entry Candidates at UNIJOS

These are the requirements you are expected to meet depending on your mode of entry.

UTME Candidates

  • Applicants are required to score a minimum of 180 in the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to qualify for consideration.
  • The University of Jos (UNIJOS) must be listed as the first or primary choice during the JAMB registration process.
  • Participation in the post-UTME screening exercise organized by UNIJOS is compulsory for all applicants.
  • Candidates must be at least 16 years old at the time of application.

Direct Entry Candidates

  • Candidates must have at least two passes in subjects relevant to their chosen field of study at the Advanced Level.
  • Applicants must possess a Merit Pass or higher in a National Diploma (ND) or National Certificate of Education (NCE) in a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Candidates with a First Class or Second Class Upper degree in related fields may also apply through Direct Entry.
  • Interested candidates are required to obtain the UNIJOS Direct Entry form through both the JAMB portal and the university’s official website.
