UTME and Direct Entry Requirements For Kogi State University Kabba

All those who are interested in admission to study at Kogi State University must ensure that they meet the requirements for admission. Candidates who do not qualify will not be admitted, the requirements are as follows:-

UTME Admission Requirements

  • Candidates must select Kogi State University, Kabba as their first choice during the UTME registration. Those who did not but want to apply for admission will be required to apply for a change of institution through JAMB.
  • A minimum score of 170 in the 2024 UTME is required to be eligible for admission.
  • Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings in SSCE, NECO, GCE, or equivalent examinations.
  • Candidates are required to upload their O’Level results to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
  • Applicants must be at least sixteen (16) years old by the time of admission.

Direct Entry Admission Requirements

  • Applicants should possess one of the following:-
  • A minimum of Lower Credit in National Diploma (ND) from a recognized institution.
  • At least a Merit pass in National Certificate of Education (NCE).
  • A minimum of 10 points in Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) or its equivalent.
  • Candidates must also have five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
