Eligibility Requirements For Taraba State University Admission
If you are planning to study here, you should know that there are two main entry routes for undergraduate candidates: UTME and Direct Entry. UTME is for those coming straight from secondary school, while Direct Entry is for those who already hold qualifications like ND, NCE, or A-Level certificates. Whichever path you are taking, you must meet the admission requirements for your chosen course. These requirements are outlined below:-
UTME Admission Requirements
- You must have selected Taraba State University (TSU) as your first-choice institution when registering for JAMB. If you didn’t, you will need to make a change of institution on the JAMB portal.
- You must have scored at least 140 in the 2024 JAMB UTME. This is the minimum cut-off mark required by the university.
- You need to have at least five (5) credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects — including English Language and Mathematics. These must be from WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB, and must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry Admission Requirements
If you already have a post-secondary qualification and want to apply through Direct Entry, here is what you need:-
- You must have chosen TSU as your first choice in the JAMB Direct Entry form. If not, you’ll need to update your choice on the JAMB portal.
- You must possess a relevant qualification such as a National Diploma (ND), NCE, IJMB, or A-Level certificate, and it must be with at least a Lower Credit or its equivalent.
- Just like UTME candidates, you must also have five (5) credit passes at O’Level, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
These are the courses offered by Taraba State University, along with their admission requirements. If you’re interested in applying, take time to carefully go through the available courses and ensure you meet the requirements. Once you confirm that you’re qualified, be on the lookout for the TSU Post-UTME Form for 2024/2025 and make sure you apply on time.
