• All candidates must choose Maritime University as their first choice institution
• Candidates for courses like Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, and Electrical/Electronic Engineering must have scored a minimum of 175 in their UTME.
• Those for  Maritime Transport and Business Studies must achieve a minimum score of 160 in the UTME.
• Candidates must have obtained at least five (5) credit passes in relevant O-level subjects such as English Language, Mathematics, and other course-specific subjects.
• The O-level qualifications must be obtained within the last five years.
• Each program has its specific subject combination for JAMB, and candidates must have registered for the correct combinations.
• All candidates must be physically and mentally fit, as the maritime industry requires a high level of physical endurance. Medical screenings will be carried out, including tests for HIV, VDRL, Hepatitis B, urinalysis, blood group, and genotype.
• Candidates must be single throughout the program.
• Candidates applying for Nautical Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, and Marine Engineering should be between the ages of 16 and 21 at the time of applying.

• Go to the official NMU website or the designated ePortal to start your application process.
• Use your JAMB registration number to verify your details and log in to the portal. Ensure that your email address and phone number are correct for future communications.
• Complete the application form and submit it. Once you submit the form, a new option titled “Admission Status” will appear.
• Click on “Admission Status” and select “Accept” to confirm your admission. Afterward, pay the required acceptance fee, which is ₦60,000.
• All applicants will undergo medical screening to ensure they meet the required physical and health standards for the maritime industry.
• After paying the acceptance fee, print the receipt and confirm that your student account has been activated on the portal.
