MOUAU Postgraduate Admission Form

The management of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) has officially announced the sale of its postgraduate admission form for the 2024/2025 academic session. Interested and qualified candidates are hereby invited to apply for admission into the university’s Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes in various fields of study.

Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike Postgraduate Admission Form Requirements 2024/2025

These are the requirements for the different PG programs offered by MOUAU:-

  • To be considered for admission into any postgraduate programme at MOUAU, applicants must have at least five (5) O’Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects, in not more than two sittings.

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD/PGDE)

If you are applying for a PGD or PGDE, you must have either:-

  • A Third Class degree in a relevant course from a recognized university, or
  • A Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field with at least Upper Credit.
  • For HND holders without a class of grade (unclassified), a CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale, 3.00 on a 4-point scale, or 60% will be treated as Upper Credit.

Master’s Degree (M.Sc., M.Ed., MLIS, M.Sc.(Ed.), M.Eng.)

To qualify for a Master’s programme, you must:-

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Honours from MOUAU or any other recognized university (minimum CGPA of 2.50 on a 5-point scale or 2.00 on a 4-point scale).
  • Or have an HND with at least Upper Credit plus a PGD in a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Other equivalent qualifications may also be accepted by the university’s Senate.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

For the Ph.D. programme, applicants must:-

  • Hold a Master’s degree that includes both coursework and research.
  • The degree must be from MOUAU or another recognized university in a relevant field.
  • The minimum CGPA required is 3.50 on a 5-point scale, 2.80 on a 4-point scale, or 60% on a percentage scale.

How to Apply For MOUAU Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025

To apply, follow these simple steps:-

  • Visit the university’s website at www.mouau.edu.ng and click on the “Postgraduate Application” link.
  • The application process has two stages. Make sure you carefully read the instructions provided.
  • Pay an application fee of ₦25,000 via the Remita platform.
  • After payment, return to the portal and complete the second stage of the application.
  • After submitting your form, print out the Transcript Application Label and send it to the institution where you earned your first degree.
