Modibbo Adama University Postgraduate Admission Requirements

If you are planning to apply for any of the postgraduate programmes at Modibbo Adama University (MAU), here are the general admission requirements you must meet:-

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Lower Credit in a relevant field.
• Candidates with professional qualifications such as ACCA, ICAN, etc., may also be considered.
• Applicants must have at least five (5) O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics.

Master’s Degree (M.Sc., M.Ed., MBA, M.Phil.)

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower Division in a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Applicants with a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) and a CGPA of at least 3.50 on a 5-point scale may also qualify.
• All candidates must have five (5) O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Some departments may require a minimum number of years of work experience or conduct an oral/written entrance exam.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

• Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a related field with a CGPA of not less than 4.00 on a 5-point scale.
• A detailed research proposal may be required during the application or interview process.
• Candidates must have at least five (5) O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Academic references and/or interviews may be part of the screening process.
