ND and HND Admission Requirements for Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic

To apply for admission into any of the programs at Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, you need to meet specific requirements based on your desired program and entry level. Below are the general admission requirements for both ND and HND candidates:-

ND Admission Requirements

Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) O’level credit passes in relevant subjects, which may include English Language, Mathematics, and subjects related to the course of choice. These should be obtained at not more than two sittings (e.g., WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
Applicants must also have an acceptable UTME score as specified by the polytechnic.
Candidates must sit for the JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) examination and achieve the required cut-off mark.
After sitting for the JAMB exam, candidates should apply through the polytechnic’s admission portal or participate in the Post-UTME screening process.

HND Admission Requirements

Candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) in a relevant course from an accredited institution.
Applicants must have a minimum of Lower Credit in their ND program. For some programs, a Pass with a minimum of two (2) years post-ND relevant work experience may also be acceptable.
Though candidates applying for HND programs do not need to write JAMB, they must have participated in a relevant Post-UTME screening process as required by the polytechnic.
Candidates are required to submit their ND results, birth certificates, and other supporting documents.
