Adeleke University Admission Requirements for UTME and Direct Entry Candidates

To gain admission into Adeleke University for the 2024/2025 academic session, applicants must meet specific requirements for both UTME and Direct Entry modes(depending on which mode of entry they prefer)

UTME Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old by the time of admission.
  • A minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings. Acceptable examinations include WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE.
  • A minimum score of 150 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is required for all programs, except for Nursing Science, Law, and Medical Laboratory Science, which may have higher cut-off marks.
  • Adeleke University should be selected as the first or second choice during UTME registration.
  •  Participation in the university’s post-UTME screening exercise is mandatory.

Direct Entry Admission Requirements

  •  A minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • Possession of advanced qualifications such as OND, ND, NCE, IJMB, Cambridge A-Level, B.Sc., HND, or ICAN.
  • A valid JAMB Direct Entry registration number is required.

Adeleke University Postgraduate Admission Requirements 2024/2025

These are the requirements for the postgraduate programs offered by Adeleke University. All candidates must ensure they meet the requirements listed below to be eligible to apply for any of the courses listed in the previous section:-

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

  • A minimum of a third-class honors degree from Adeleke University or any other recognized university.
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) holders with at least a Lower Credit from recognized institutions.
  • Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics at the O’Level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).

Master’s Degree

  • A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division from Adeleke University or any other recognized institution.
  • Third Class honors degree holders with at least five years of post-graduation experience.
  • Postgraduate Diploma holders from recognized institutions with at least a credit-level pass.
  • Unclassified degree holders with an average grade of ‘C’ or above.
  • HND holders with a minimum of credit, plus a Postgraduate Diploma with at least a credit-level pass.

Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) 

  • A bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Upper Division from Adeleke University or other recognized institutions.
  • Second Class Lower Division degree holders with substantial relevant industrial experience.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field from Adeleke University or other recognized universities, with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale.
  • Candidates may be required to pass a qualifying examination and/or undergo a probationary period not exceeding 12 calendar months.
