YUMSUK Admission Requirements For UTME and Direct Entry Candidates
There are two main modes of entry to gain admission into Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano (YUMSUK), through the UTME and Direct Entry. If you are interested in applying through either mode, you must make sure you meet the admission requirements listed for it. The requirements are as follows:-
UTME Admission
- Candidates must ensure they choose Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano (YUMSUK) as their first choice of institution when applying through JAMB.
- Candidates must score at least 150 in the UTME to be eligible for admission. Note that some competitive courses may require higher scores.
- They must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
- Candidates are also required to participate in the YUMSUK Post-UTME screening exercise.
For Direct Entry Admission
- Candidates must also have five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
- In addition, they must possess a relevant qualification, such as NCE, ND, HND, or IJMB with at least a Lower Credit or its equivalent.
- Direct Entry candidates must apply through JAMB Direct Entry and also participate in the university’s screening exercise.
