UNIABUJA Admission Requirements For Undergraduates
Dreaming of studying at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA)? If yes, then getting familiar with the complete list of UNIABUJA admission requirements for undergraduates is essential for your success.
If you are planning to gain admission into the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) for any undergraduate programme, it’s important to know what the school expects from you. The university offers two main ways (or modes) for students to gain admission:
- UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) Entry
- Direct Entry (DE)
Whichever path you choose, there are certain requirements you must meet before you can be considered for admission. Below is a breakdown of the requirements
UTME Admission Requirements
- You must have at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. These results can be from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, and they must not be from more than two sittings.
- You must sit for the UTME and score at least 180, depending on your chosen course. Some competitive courses may require higher scores.
- You must select the correct combination of subjects for your course when registering for UTME. Using the wrong combination can affect your chances of admission.
- You must choose the University of Abuja as your first choice of institution during JAMB registration. If you didn’t, you will need to apply for a change of institution.
- After JAMB, you must also take part in the university’s Post-UTME screening process and meet the cut-off mark for your course.
Direct Entry (DE) Admission Requirements
If you already have some qualifications beyond secondary school and want to apply through Direct Entry, here are the requirements you need to meet:-
- Like UTME candidates, you must also have five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
- You must have any of the following:-
- National Diploma (ND)
- Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)
- Higher National Diploma (HND)
- IJMB or JUPEB A’Level results
- You must purchase and register for the Direct Entry form through JAMB.
