Michael and Cecilia Ibru University (MCIU) offers admission through both the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry pathways. Below is a detailed overview of the admission requirements for each:

UTME Admission Requirements

Candidates must be at least 16 years old in the year of admission.
A minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings, obtained from SSCE, GCE, or NECO.
Candidates with a Teachers Grade II (TC II) certificate with credit or merit passes, alongside credit passes in SSCE, GCE, or NECO, may also be considered. No subject can be counted from both the TC II and O-Level exams.
Candidates must achieve an acceptable score in the UTME. The specific cut-off mark varies depending on the course of study.
Candidates must attend the university’s Post-UTME screening, which includes written exams and interviews.

Direct Entry Admission Requirements

Five (5) credit passes in SSCE, GCE, or NECO in no more than one sitting, including English Language and Mathematics.
Candidates should have one of the following: National Diploma (ND) or National Certificate in Education (NCE) with at least a Merit pass, Advanced Level (A-Level) GCE passes in relevant subjects, Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) certificate with acceptable grades, Equivalent qualifications as approved by the university.
Candidates should obtain a Direct Entry form from JAMB, then participate in the university’s Post-UTME screening, which involves both written exams and interviews.
Candidates must ensure their subject combinations meet the requirements for their chosen course.
