FUNAAB Admission Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria to gain admission into FUNAAB:
A. O’LEVEL REQUIREMENTS (For All Courses)
- Five (5) SSCE credit passes (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) in not more than two sittings, including:
- English Language (Compulsory for all courses)
- Mathematics (Compulsory for all courses)
- Chemistry (Required for Science, Engineering & Agriculture courses)
- Physics (Required for most courses except some Management/Social Science programs)
- Biology/Agricultural Science (Biology is compulsory for Agriculture & Sciences; Agricultural Science alone is NOT accepted as a substitute for Biology)
Note:
- For Agricultural Programs: A Pass (D7/E8) in Physics is accepted if you have credits in other subjects.
- For Water Resources Management: A credit in Geography is also required.

Note:
- Economics is NOT accepted as a UTME subject for Agricultural courses.
- Agricultural Science is NOT accepted as a substitute for Biology in UTME subjects.
C. DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- A’Level/IJMB: Two (2) A’Level passes in relevant subjects (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Agric Science).
- ND/HND: Upper Credit in related fields (e.g., ND in Agriculture, Engineering, or Science Technology).
- NCE: Credit passes in relevant teaching subjects (for some courses).
2. SPECIAL ADMISSION CONSIDERATIONS
- Veterinary Medicine: Requires 5 O’Level credits in one sitting (English, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
- Engineering: Physics is compulsory (no waiver).
- Management Courses: Economics is compulsory for Business Admin, Accounting, etc.
