FUKASHERE Postgraduate Admission Requirements

The Federal University of Kashere offers a variety of postgraduate programmes, including Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s, MBA, M.Phil, and Ph.D degrees. Each of these programmes has specific admission requirements that every candidate must meet. If you are interested in applying for any of these programs, you are expected to satisfy the requirements outlined below.

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programs

  • To be eligible for admission into a PGD programme, applicants must have earned at least a Third Class Bachelor’s degree from FUKASHERE or another recognized university in a related field.
  • Candidates who hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) or an equivalent professional qualification are also welcome to apply.

Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) Programs

  • Prospective students seeking admission into a Master’s degree programme must hold a minimum of a Second Class Lower Division Bachelor’s degree from FUKASHERE or any other institution approved by the university, in a discipline relevant to the intended course of study.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

  • Candidates interested in the MBA programme should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant course with at least a Second Class Lower Division from FUKASHERE or any recognized university.
  • Those who graduated with a Third Class or have an HND (minimum of Lower Credit) must also possess a Postgraduate Diploma with a CGPA of not less than 3.50 to qualify.

Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) Programs

Applicants for M.Phil. programmes must meet one of the following conditions:-

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree with a Second Class Upper Division or higher from FUKASHERE or an equivalent institution.
  • Have a Master’s degree with a CGPA of at least 3.50 on a 5.0 scale.
  • Ensure that a qualified supervisor is available in the intended department before applying.
  • Be ready to go through a screening or selection process as required by the department.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programs

To gain admission into a Ph.D. programme, a candidate must:-

  • Hold an M.Phil. or M.Sc. degree with a minimum CGPA of 4.00.
  • Confirm the availability of supervisors in their desired department before submitting an application.
  • Be prepared to participate in a departmentally determined screening process if necessary.

Additional Notes for M.Phil. and Ph.D. Applicants

  • Admissions into these research-based programmes are available at the start of each semester only.
  • All applicants must provide official transcripts of their Master’s degree or documented evidence of their academic performance at the Master’s level.
