Federal University Lokoja Undergraduate Admission Requirements
To gain admission into Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) for the 2024/2025 academic session, candidates must meet the following requirements:-
UTME (JAMB) Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission through UTME (100-level entry) must:-
- Obtain a minimum UTME score as specified by JAMB for the academic session.
- Have at least five (5) O’ Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent).
- Select FULOKOJA as their first choice institution during JAMB registration.
- Must be at least 16 years old at the time of admission.
Direct Entry (DE) Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission through Direct Entry (200-level entry) must:-
- Possess a National Diploma (ND), NCE, IJMB, JUPEB, or equivalent qualification with at least Lower Credit/Merit from a recognized institution.
- Have at least two (2) A’ Level passes in relevant subjects.
- Obtain five (5) O’ Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- Have a JAMB Direct Entry Form and choose FULOKOJA as their first choice.
- Present their academic transcripts (where applicable) for verification.
Federal University Lokoja Postgraduate Admission Requirements
To gain admission to study at the postgraduate level, here are the requirements you are expected to meet:-
Postgraduate Diploma
Candidates must possess:-
- A Bachelor’s Degree (not below Third-Class) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) (minimum of Lower Credit) in a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.
- Five (5) credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and three (3) other relevant subjects.
Master’s Degree (Academic and Professional)
Candidates must have:-
- A Bachelor’s Degree (minimum Second-Class Division) from FULOKOJA or any recognized institution.
- A Bachelor’s Degree (Third-Class) plus a relevant Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) with at least a Credit Pass.
- A Bachelor’s Degree with an unclassified grading (minimum “C” grade or 50%), which may require a qualifying test.
- O’ Level Requirement: Five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.
- Departmental Examination may be required to determine suitability.
- Other qualifications approved by the University Senate may be considered.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
Candidates must have:-
- A Master’s Degree (Academic) with a CGPA of at least 4.0 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale in a relevant field.
- A Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) Degree in a related area.
- A Bachelor’s Degree (minimum Second-Class Lower Division).
- O’ Level Requirement: Five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.
- Other qualifications approved by the University Senate may be considered.
