Consider a Change of Course or Institution

- Alternatively, consider a change of institution to a school with a lower cut-off mark or one that still has open slots.
Explore Polytechnic or College of Education Options
- Many polytechnics and colleges of education accept lower UTME scores (100–120).
- You can apply for ND or NCE programmes and later proceed to a university through Direct Entry.
Look into Pre-degree or Remedial Programmes
- Enroll in a pre-degree, remedial, or foundation programme offered by FUTIA or other universities.
- Completing this successfully could give you direct entry into your desired course in the next academic session.
Apply to Private Institutions
- Some private universities have lower cut-off requirements and may accept candidates with lower UTME scores.
- Consider institutions with accredited programmes and flexible admission criteria.
Prepare for Next Year
- If none of the above options are viable, consider using the year to re-prepare for JAMB.
- Attend tutorials, study harder, and aim for a significantly higher score next session.
