Entry Requirements for Federal Polytechnic Ilaro HND Admission

Before applying for the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro HND Full-Time Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session, you need to be sure that you meet all the required conditions. These requirements are put in place to ensure that only suitably qualified candidates are considered for admission. Here’s what you need to know:-

1. You must have completed a National Diploma (ND) in a related course with at least a Lower Credit (minimum of 2.50 CGPA) from a recognized institution. If you graduated with a Pass grade, you may still be considered, but only if you have at least two years of relevant post-ND work experience.
2. You must have a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE. These credits must be relevant to your intended course of study and obtained in no more than two sittings.
3. All applicants must have completed at least one year of Industrial Training (IT) after their ND. This hands-on experience is essential and shows that you are prepared for the practical and professional demands of the HND programme.
4. If you did not obtain your ND from Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, you are required to upload your official ND academic transcript as part of the application. Note that you will not be registered for the programme unless your transcript is received by the Polytechnic.
5. Every applicant is expected to participate in an online screening test as part of the selection process. Details and dates for the screening will be communicated after application submission.

Application Fee

The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro HND application form costs ₦20,000 (Twenty Thousand Naira only). This fee is non-refundable, and you’ll need to generate an invoice before making payment at any approved bank. Make sure to keep your payment receipt; you’ll need it to complete your application.

• On the portal, click ‘Applicant’, then select ‘Generate Invoice’
• Alternatively, you can go directly to the invoice generation page if you have the link. This invoice will contain a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR), which you’ll use to make payment.
