If you are seeking admission at Bells University of Technology, Ota for the 2025/2026 academic session, it is important to understand the admission requirements for both UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) candidates and Direct Entry applicants. Below are the detailed requirements you must meet to be considered for admission:

UTME Admission Requirements

  • All candidates must register for the JAMB UTME examination and select Bells University of Technology as their first choice. Those who did not initially select Bells University can apply for a change of institution through JAMB.
  • The general JAMB cut-off mark for admission into Bells University of Technology is 180 and above. However, some competitive courses may require higher scores.
  • Candidates must have at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects related to the chosen course of study. These credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB.
  • Candidates must be at least 16 years old at the time of application.
  • After meeting the above requirements, candidates must also participate in the Bells University Post-UTME screening exercise.
  • The screening may include an online assessment, physical verification of documents, or an interview.

Direct Entry Admission

Candidates applying for Direct Entry admission must have one of the following qualifications:-

  • OND (Ordinary National Diploma): A minimum of Lower Credit in a relevant course from a recognized polytechnic.
  • NCE (National Certificate in Education): At least Merit in a relevant subject.
  • HND (Higher National Diploma): May be considered for 300-level admission in some cases.
  • IJMB, JUPEB, or A-Level Certificate: Candidates must have at least two A-Level passes in subjects relevant to their chosen course.
  • Direct Entry candidates must also have five (5) credit passes in WAEC/NECO/NABTEB, including English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects. The O’Level result must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • Candidates must register for JAMB Direct Entry (DE).
