Al-Hikmah University Admission Requirements

If you are interested in any of the courses listed above, ensure you meet the requirements listed here before you apply for admission:-

• Applicants must have a valid JAMB result with the required cut-off mark or higher.
• Candidates must choose the university as their first choice of institution in JAMB.
• Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, SISC, or their equivalent at no more than two (2) sittings in subjects relevant to their intended undergraduate program. English Language at credit level is compulsory for all applicants.
• Candidates applying for degree programs in the Faculties of Management and Social Sciences, Natural and Applied Sciences, and certain Education courses must have credit in Mathematics.
• Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of application.

Direct Entry Requirements

• Candidates applying for direct entry must have at least two (2) A-level passes, or their equivalent, in relevant subjects from a recognized institution.
• For those with a National Diploma (ND), candidates must have a minimum of Lower Credit from a recognized polytechnic.
• A Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit from a recognized institution is also acceptable for direct entry.

Al-Hikmah University Postgraduate Requirements

These are the requirements for the Al-Hikmah University postgraduate courses offered. Ensure that you meet the requirements for your preferred program:-

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• To apply for the PGD program, applicants must have a first degree from Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, or any other recognized university.
• If you have a Higher National Diploma (HND), you are also eligible to apply.
• However, you must meet the university’s O’level requirements, regardless of your previous qualifications.

Master’s Degree

• If you are applying for either an academic or professional Master’s degree, you must have at least a Second Class Lower Division degree from Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, or any other recognized university.
• If you have a Third Class degree, you can still apply if you have a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in a relevant field.
• Additionally, you must score at least 60% in the qualifying exam administered by the respective department at the university.

Doctorate Degree (Ph.D. or M.Phil/Ph.D.)

• For the Ph.D. program, applicants need to have a Master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 60% from Al-Hikmah University or any other recognized university.
•  If your CGPA is below 60% but not less than 50%, you can apply for the M.Phil/Ph.D. program instead. All Ph.D. and M.Phil/Ph.D.
• Applicants must attend an interview with the university’s departments. Your final admission will depend on the outcome of this interview.
