Dominican University Admission Requirements
All undergraduate applicants must meet the requirements for admission. Without meeting these requirements, their chances of admission are almost non-existent. The requirements are as follows:-
For UTME Admission
Prospective students must:-
- Choose DU as their first choice of institution. Those who did not choose DU as their first choice may have to apply for a change of institution through JAMB.
- Have five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects at the SSCE (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics, within a maximum of two sittings.
- Achieve the required UTME score based on the relevant subjects.
For Direct Entry Admission (200 Level)
In addition to meeting the five (5) credit passes at SSCE (or equivalent) in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics, candidates must also:-
- Hold a General Certificate of Education (GCE) with at least ‘A’ level passes in two approved subjects, or
- Have a credit level pass in an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or a Merit pass in National Certificate in Education (NCE) from a recognized College or Polytechnic, or
- Possess a first degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) from an approved University or Polytechnic.

Admission Requirements For Dominican University Postgraduate Programs

- Candidates must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program or be exempted from it.
- Candidates who hold a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) must have a minimum grade of Upper Credit or its equivalent from an accredited institution, where applicable.
- Candidates must hold a first degree in the relevant field with at least a second-class lower division (2:2) from a recognized university.
- For applicants with a Postgraduate Diploma, they must have a minimum grade of Upper Credit or equivalent from an accredited institution.
