UNILAG Part-Time Degree Admission Form [2024/2025]

The application process for UNILAG’s Part-Time (DLI) program consists of two main steps: JAMB registration and the DLI UNILAG application. While you don’t need to sit for the JAMB exam, you still have to register on the JAMB portal to get your JAMB registration number. A fee of ₦3,500 is required to access the application form.

Requirements For UNILAG Part-Time Admission 2024/2025
Though applicants are not required to write JAMB, they are expected to meet strict requirements set by the DLI. Below are the requirements that all applicants are expected to meet to be eligible for admission:-
- Applicants must have at least five (5) credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Candidates seeking admission directly into the second year must hold qualifications such as NCE, ND (with at least a Lower Credit), JUPEP, IJMB, or GCE A’ Level in relevant subjects.
- Applicants eligible for direct entry into the third year must have an HND (with at least a Lower Credit) or a Bachelor’s degree (with a minimum of a Third Class with an NYSC Certificate, or an Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
- Those with recognized professional certifications such as ICAN, ACA, ACIB, ANAN, ACCA, ACMA, ACIS, CII, or similar qualifications can also apply for admission into the third year.
- Candidates who are yet to receive their results are not eligible to apply.
- Prospective applicants must be at least 16 years old by October 31, 2024, to qualify for admission.
- The program is open to all applicants, including individuals with any form of learning disability or challenge.
- Applicants must have basic computer skills to effectively participate in the university’s ICT-enabled blended learning model.
How To Apply For UNILAG Part-Time Admission Form 2024/2025
All candidates who have ensured that they are qualified to apply for any of the part-time courses above should follow these steps to apply. Note that you are to complete the registration both on the JAMB portal and the UNILAG DLI portal.
- Visit the JAMB CAPS website and complete the registration process. A fee of ₦3,500 is required to obtain your JAMB registration number.
- Go to the official UNILAG application portal at https://applications.unilag.edu.ng/.
- Click on the “Start a Fresh Application” option and select Distance Learning Institute as your application type.
- Enter your details, including your Surname, First Name, Middle Name, JAMB Registration Number, Mobile Number, and Email Address.
- Make an online payment of ₦17,500 (Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Naira) by selecting the “Pay Now” option. Alternatively, you can print the payment slip (which includes a Remita Number) and pay at any commercial bank.
- After making the payment, return to the application portal and click on “Continue Application.”
- Enter your payment reference number and use your surname in lowercase as the password to log in.
- Fill out all required fields in the application form and upload the necessary documents. Ensure all information is accurate.
- Review your application, submit it online, and print a copy for your records. If needed, you can save your progress and return later to make edits before final submission.
