  • UTME Mode is for candidates who are applying straight from secondary school or those who wish to enter the university after completing their Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE).
  • Direct Entry Mode is for candidates who have already completed a higher level of education, like an ND (National Diploma) or A-Level qualifications.

No matter which entry mode you choose, it’s important to know that you must meet the specific requirements set by NMU for each mode. Below are the admission requirements you need to fulfill to be eligible for admission:-

UTME Mode Requirements

  • Candidates must ensure that they chose NMU as their first choice of institution, those who did not must apply for a change of institution through JAMB.
  • Candidates must have sat for the JAMB UTME exam and scored the minimum required mark for their chosen course.
  • A minimum of five credits in relevant subjects (including English and Mathematics) in their O’level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
  • Ensure your chosen course is in line with the subjects you took in your O’level exams.
  • After meeting these requirements, you need to check your JAMB score to ensure it meets the cut-off mark set by the university.
  • Candidates must be at least 16 years old at the time of applying for admission.
  • Candidates are expected to pass medical examinations and meet other health requirements.

Direct Entry Mode Requirements

  • Candidates must have completed a National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or A-level qualifications.
