Admission Requirements for Jigawa State Polytechnic Courses 

For National Diploma (ND) Admission Requirements:

To be eligible for admission into the National Diploma (ND) program at Jigawa State Polytechnic, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Applicants must meet the required JIGPOLY cut-off mark for their chosen course.
• Candidates must have at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. These results must be from recognized examinations such as WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, SSCE, or GCE and should not be obtained in more than two sittings.
• Applicants must be at least 16 years old in the year of admission.
• Candidates must meet any additional specific requirements set by their chosen department or faculty.

For Higher National Diploma (HND) Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) program, applicants must fulfill the following conditions:

• National Diploma (ND) Qualification: Candidates must have completed a relevant National Diploma (ND) program with at least a lower credit (CGPA of 2.50).
• Industrial Training Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of relevant industrial training experience after completing their ND.
• O’Level Requirements: Candidates must meet the same O’Level requirements as for ND admission (five credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings).
• Exceptional Cases: Candidates with a pass in their ND but with at least two years of relevant work experience may also be considered for admission.
• Industrial Experience: A minimum of 12 months of supervised industrial training is required.
• Transcript: Applicants, especially those coming from other institutions, must provide an academic transcript when applying for HND admission.
