FUTMINNA Admission Requirements (UTME & Direct Entry)
The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) offers admission to undergraduate students through two main entry routes: UTME and Direct Entry (DE). As a prospective student, it is important to understand that your eligibility for admission depends on meeting the specific requirements tied to the route you are applying through.
Whether you are coming in through UTME or Direct Entry, you must satisfy all the academic and screening conditions set by the university to stand a chance of being admitted.
General Requirements for All Candidates
- FUTMINNA must be selected as your first-choice institution during JAMB registration.
- You must have at least five (5) credit passes in your O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, SSCE, or GCE). These credits must include English Language and Mathematics. The results must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
- You must register and participate in the FUTMINNA Post-UTME or Direct Entry screening, and pay the required screening fee (usually ₦2,000).
UTME Admission Requirements
- You must have sat for the UTME and scored at least 180 (Note: some courses may require higher scores).
- You must have the correct JAMB subject combination relevant to your chosen course.
- You must register for and participate in the university’s Post-UTME screening exercise.
Direct Entry Admission Requirements:
- You must meet the same O’Level requirements as UTME candidates.
You must hold one of the following qualifications in a relevant field:-
- A National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Lower Credit.
- A Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with at least a Merit grade.
- Two A-Level passes (including JUPEB or IJMB) in relevant subjects.
- You must apply through the JAMB Direct Entry portal and upload your results on the FUTMINNA admission portal.
