Federal Polytechnic Kabo Admission Requirements
The Federal Polytechnic Kabo offers National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes across various courses in science, engineering, technology, and management.
If you’re looking to study any of these programmes, it’s important to note that you must meet the admission requirements for your chosen level of study. Below are the admission requirements you are expected to meet:-
ND Admission Requirements
You need to have:-
- At least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects. Credits must include English Language and Mathematics. The credits can be from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB. You can combine results, but not more than two sittings.
- You must have sat for the JAMB UTME and chosen Federal Polytechnic Kabo as your school of choice.
- A minimum score of 120 or above is often accepted (some competitive courses may require higher).
- You must also choose the right UTME subject combination for your course.
- After JAMB, you must participate in the school’s Post-UTME screening.
- Details and dates are usually announced on the school’s website.
- You’ll need to pay a screening fee and upload your documents online.
HND Admission Requirements
- You must have a valid ND certificate in a course that is related to the HND course you’re applying for.
- You should have at least a Lower Credit in your ND result.
- If you have a Pass, you may still be considered, but only if you’ve had at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- You must have completed the compulsory 1-year Industrial Training (IT) after your ND.
- A letter of completion or reference from your place of IT will be required.
- Just like with ND, you still need five (5) credit passes, including English and Maths.
- Your previous institution must send your ND transcript directly to the Federal Polytechnic Kabo.
